Niki from Azerbaijan has fond memories.
When I close my eyes and review the memories of my past, a sweet smile brings me back to my childhood.
I was born into a relatively well-educated family and my childhood was accompanied by developments and improvements in media until my school age. A very common game at that time was playing with paper cards that were artists’ and football players’ pictures. On the other hand, there was a playground near our house that had a swing, merry go round, slide and see-saw.
Most of the time I went there with my friends and played. After starting school, playing with friends gradually gave way to playing with a Sega player. Although playing digital games were increasing at that time there was a locally popular game with the girls in my area. It was five small round stones that were chosen very carefully and while we were sitting on the ground we lifted one of the stones and we had to collect the next four stones before it fell out of the air and I would always win the game and get all the chocolates.
Today those traditional games have been forgotten and cell phones or tablets have become playmates for children.
